Are You a Part of The Story?

If you’re like me then this time of year is a time of reflection and gratitude for you. I was recently telling someone what an important part of our family Tapestry is and how grateful we are to be a part of this ministry.

My wife and I first got involved with Tapestry about eight years ago. When our daughter came home we thought we could parent in isolation because we didn’t understand anything about trauma and hard places. But things changed when her older brother arrived. We were suddenly the parents of a child with a story that he remembered. We soon reached a point where we were struggling and needed help and a community of people who understood our family.

We found both of those things at Tapestry. We found the training and support from people who were walking the same journey we were on. We’ve come to understand that to parent our kids in a way that heals their wounds we need the support of people who are trying to do the same. I can’t imagine what our family would be like without the mentoring and training we received through Tapestry.

I know that our story is not unique, it is one that is being lived out by families like ours across the country. Our family’s story is just a small part of the big story God is writing through Tapestry.

Even though we’re working on some new things for 2015, this ministry is still about serving families along the adoption and foster care journey. If you are considering or waiting, celebrating many years or many placements, our goal is to provide the training, support, and community that you need.

Would you consider making a year end donation to Tapestry? We will continue to equip, train, support, and serve families the way we always have. You can find instructions on how to donate online or how to mail a donation to Tapestry by CLICKING HERE. You donation will allow us to serve more families than ever before as we launch new and exciting programs in 2015.

Thank you for considering a year end gift to Tapestry.

God bless you and Merry Christmas,

Ryan
