ETC2If you are considering adoption or foster care or are already in the process to adopt or foster and you live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we invite you to join us for the Empowered To Connect Parenting Training – Prepare Course starting on Tuesday, October 8.

This six-week training is designed specifically to provide a solid foundation, useful insights, and prepare couples and singles for the adoption and foster journey before you adopt or start fostering.

The course is taught in an interactive small group that will meet each Tuesday night, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Irving Bible Church, starting Tuesday, October 8 and ending November 12. The course will cover the following six sessions:

● Foundations for Connection
● The Whole Equation: Understanding What You Bring to the Parent-Child Relationship
● The Attachment Dance
● Understanding the Needs of the Whole Child
● Behavioral Change: Connecting While Correcting (Parts 1 & 2)

The cost for the training is $150 per family, which includes all materials and required resources.  A limited amount of financial assistance is available for those unable to pay the cost of the training.  Married couples are required to attend together and singles are encouraged to attend with a support team member (at no additional charge).  Class sizes are limited to no more than 10 families.  We apologize, but childcare is not available for this course.

If you would like to register for this course go to http://empoweredtoconnect.org/training/prepare-course-assessment/ and complete the pre-training assessment.  Someone will then contact you shortly with additional details. Deadline to register is Thursday, October 3.
