Discussions about race can be complex and challenging, especially so for adoptive and foster parents. Join us for a day to learn, engage, and compassionately support one another as we explore transracial adoption and foster care together.
Questions like “How do we lovingly address race in our home? How can we provide racial and cultural experiences that will help our child? Why does race have to be so important? What do we do from here?” will be discussed at this event.
We will feature a variety of voices with unique perspectives including Dr. Joseph Crumbley, counseling and medical professionals, parents, adult adoptees, and former foster youth.
Training certificates will be available for those who need them. There will NOT be any childcare for the event.
