At least twice each year Tapestry hosts an information meeting for people to learn more about what it means to become a foster parent or how to adopt a child in foster care. These information meetings are followed by the opportunity to attend training classes held at IBC and led by a child placing agency. Many IBC families have completed or are in the process of completing their required training to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent.
Tapestry is pleased to host the following foster care and foster adoption training for those wanting to be licensed to become a foster parent and/or adopt a child from foster care.
Each of the training classes listed below will be held at Irving Bible Church unless otherwise noted below:
We apologize, but we are not able to provide childcare for these these training classes.
Note: Foster/Adopt training classes are being offered by Covenant Kids, a licensed child placing agency. There are many different foster care/adoption agencies to choose from and we do not believe that one agency is necessarily right for everyone. If you have questions about which child placing agency might be best for you contact Amy Monroe at tapestry@irvingbible.org or check out our suggested questions for selecting a foster care agency.
