In September 2006 Irving Bible Church was one of the first churches in North Texas to host a Heart Gallery exhibit. Since that time, dozens of other churches across North Texas have also displayed the Heart Gallery as a way to raise awareness of children in foster care and the many ways to become involved in the lives of the kids.  

To further this effort, Tapestry helped to establish The Faith Connection – a volunteer-led initiative that seeks to connect churches across North Texas with children in foster care. The Faith Connection helps local churches by raising awareness, providing resources, sharing ideas and helping them effectively love and serve children in foster care in a variety of meaningful ways. To learn more contact Penny Cook at penny@TheFaithConnection.org.
