I was unable to attend the Listen to Our Hearts event on Friday evening, October 26. It was one of those times where I wished I could have been in two places at once. As people are starting to share how the event impacted them, I’m interested to hear more.
Reactions to the event:
“Still basking in the courage and honesty and beauty of the adoptee voices I witnessed this past Friday.”
“At the Tapestry conference & just sat through a 2 1/2 hour round-table listening to adoptees (ages 16-62) share their stories. It truly was one of the most powerful experiences I’ve ever been a part of.”
“My head is spinning and my heart is deeply moved. Can not say enough how much I appreciated hearing the voices of adult adoptees tonight. P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L.!!!!”
Here is a glimpse of some of what was shared at the event:
Carissa Woodwyk, who participated in the event, shared her experience in a post entitled, Vulnerability Hangover.
