At Tapestry our heart is to provide ongoing support and education to the adoption and foster community that goes well beyond our various events, small groups and activities. This is why we have assembled an extensive online library of resources for families, church as well as adoptees and birthmothers. We also have many stories that will inspire and encourage, resources for those seeking to serve children in foster care and more. You can find these resources by browsing the categories to the right or by using the search feature at the top of the page.
Our prayer is that you will find resources that provide both hope and help as you travel this journey.
One of Tapestry’s primary focuses is to provide parents (parents-to-be) with helpful and encouraging resources relating to adoption and foster care. Whether you are just beginning to explore adoption or foster care or you have already begun this life-changing journey, we sincerely hope our resources for families will be beneficial as you move forward.
At the same time, we recognize that the best resources are often others who have already traveled similar paths – so we hope that you will consider Tapestry and our community of families as available, ongoing resources no matter what your questions or needs may be. Many of us are well acquainted with the unique joys and challenges you will likely encounter. We’re here to encourage and support you in any way possible, so contact us at email@example.com and let us know how we can help.
Empowered To Connect is an online resource that provides free articles, videos and audio that highlights the work of Dr. Karyn Purvis.
We have been blessed with a burden . . . a burden to love and serve the fatherless and to see more churches do the same. Scripture is clear that we, as followers of Christ, are called to serve and minister to the fatherless and the orphan. Tapestry takes this calling and this privilege seriously, and we want to be a resource for other church ministries who seek to establish and grow church adoption and foster care ministries.
We have provided a variety of different resources for churches that we believe will be of interest and helpful to you – regardless of where you are in terms of starting or growing a church adoption and foster care ministry.
At the same time, we recognize the most valuable information and assistance often comes from talking with others who have actually experienced the joys and challenges of leading a church ministry. Please know that we are always available to talk with you and assist you in any way that we can – so do not hesitate to contact Kayla North at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tapestry is committed to helping raise awareness of the thousands of North Texas children in foster care, including nearly 1,000 children who are waiting to be adopted by a forever family. As we do so, we are also helping families and singles alike discover that there are many ways to love and serve these precious children. It is truly our privilege to serve these children here and now.
