The 2015 Tapestry Adoption & Foster Care Conference will be held October 23 & 24 at Irving Bible Church. This year’s theme is Back to Basics and sees the return of Dr. Karyn Purvis to our conference.

Dr. Purvis is the founder and Rees-Jones Director of the TCU Institute of Child Development and a passionate advocate for “children from hard places.” She is the co-author of the best-selling book, The Connected Child, a former foster parent, a mother of three sons, and a grandmother of nine, two of whom are adopted. Her life’s passion is to empower children to overcome trauma so they may thrive and reach their fullest potential in life. Tapestry has a long standing relationship with Dr. Purvis and we are thrilled that she will be with us in October.

Friday, October 23 will feature workshops for professionals, parents, church and ministry staff. Saturday, October 24 will feature morning and afternoon general sessions with breakout sessions in between.

CEU’s are available for professionals and training hours are available for parents.

Registration opens in August.
