Tapestry will host its next large group educational event on Saturday, January 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Irving Bible Church. This Tapestry event will focus on helping adoptive and foster families understand the importance of intentionally engaging family and friends to provide the love, care and support their children need. The event will highlight practical suggestions for families at each stage of the adoption and foster care journey. In addition, a panel of adoptive and foster parents and extended family members will discuss what works, what doesn’t and how parents can effectively work together with family and friends to provide their children all that they need. Training certificates will be available.
Childcare is available for this event through IBC’s KidZone for ages 0 through 5th grade with online registration at least 48 hours in advance of the event; however, space is limited. To register for childcare click here and sign-in to your existing ibcLink account (or, if you don’t have one, follow the steps to create an account). You will register for the “Tapestry Meeting (1/14/12).” If you have any questions about childcare registration or how to use the ibcLink online registration system, contact Michelle Tibbatts (IBC KidZone Director) at mtibbatts@irvingbible.org.
