Tapestry is committed to serve and come alongside adoptive and foster families, and this certainly includes single parent adoptive and foster families. In fact, at this year’s Tapestry Conference we will have a breakout session entitled, What’s Missing?: Helping Single Adoptive and Foster Parents Provide Everything That’s Needed. This session will be led by Jill Silvey and Kathryn Veazey, who also lead Tapestry’s Adoptive and Foster Single Parents Group.

The Tapestry Conference website describes this breakout session this way:

“Single parents can find it challenging to provide their children with everything that’s needed, and this challenge is often increased when adoption or foster care is involved. This session, led by two experienced adoptive and foster single parents, will focus on some of the challenges encountered by single adoptive and foster parents and will provide practical insights and advice to help singles better meet their children’s needs.”

If you are a single adoptive or foster parent, or if you are single and God is calling you to adoption or foster, this session is one more great reason to join us for the 2011 Tapestry Adoption & Foster Care Conference on Saturday, October 29, at Irving Bible Church.

The 2011 Tapestry Conference is just a little over a month away, so be sure to register soon!
