How do we navigate relationships with our kids’ biological family? It’s a question that all foster and adoptive parents should consider. Nature and nurture play a part in our kids’ development and we need to know how to talk about biological family in a way that is respectful and truthful.
Where they come from plays a part in where they are going.
Often times we don’t know how to respond to the questions our kids ask, or how to honor their biological family while maintaining boundaries. We may have our own fears and biases that cloud our thinking and cause a strain in the relationship with our kids and their biological family.
Join us in this workshop Thursday, April 29, as our guest speaker, Jackie Fritzel, discusses how to navigate relationships with our kids’ biological families. Jackie has an MSW, LBSW and is an adoptive mom. Come hear what she has to share with us!
