You are invited to join our online community gathering! Community Gatherings are a place of authentic community and learning for adoptive, foster, and kinship families at all stages of the parenting journey.
All children need to know that they can use their voice to effectively communicate their needs and navigate relationships. This is particularly important for kids who have experienced trauma, in order to help them develop trust and secure attachments. Dr. Karyn Purvis tells us that the very fundamental precept of a child learning that they feel safe, loved, and cared for, and for having even meaning in their life, is giving voice. Many of our children need help understanding their voice matters and encouragement to use it.
Come join us as we learn how to help our children find their voice and learn that their voice matters.
In an effort to still be cautious during this season of Covid-19 we will continue to meet online.
Come for great teaching followed by discussions with others from your area.
We’ll have the following DFW groups represented:
We also have our ‘e-community’ for those outside of the DFW area that are looking for community!
Training certificates are available for those who need them.
