Books/Games

Check out our Amazon Store for some of our favorite books and games. A portion of the purchase benefits Tapestry (at no extra cost to you.

Meal Planning/Shopping

Making a plan for your meals and shopping can go a long way in giving you some extra time to connect with your kids. Here are some of my favorite resources for shopping and menu planning.

Organization/Cleaning/Chores

Remember as you begin to get your kids involved in doing chores that you must consider not only their chronological age, but also their emotional age.  If you bring a child home at an older age, do not assume they know how to do anything until you teach and model it.  Don’t make chores a battle.  Instead, give your kids a choice:  “You can clean your room by yourself, or I can do it with you.”  Make it connecting and eventually they WILL be able to do it by themselves.

Parenting Tools

These websites are filled with videos and articles to help you with different parenting challenges.

Professionals/Classroom help

Sometimes our kids need more help and we need professionals who understand our kids’ histories.

** This is not an exhaustive list, but some of my favorites that will hopefully help you as you make more time for yourself and your kids.
